Scientific research about obesity

I was eating my crushed oats this morning and browsing the instawebs reading the news and i came across this interesting story about how fatness is spread via social networking... "Now comes word that obesity actually is contagious. Fat is not caused by a virus, bacterium or other pathogen. Rather, it spreads to the waists, thighs and other jiggly regions of the body through social networks." quoted from some news site Hmmm i dont recall having any friends never mind fat ones when i got overweight and i am not sure what kind of message this puts out to people, their is a lot of dumb people in the world and now you tell them that "hey be friends with a fat person and you will be next!!!!1"

News like this is going to impact people and i doubt it is gonna reduce the amount of obese people on this planet.
